Austyn laughed and hugged the little dog. "I missed you too, little buddy." he grinned, scrunching up his face as the dog licked him. He set the dog back down and walked into the kitchen, wiping the slobber off his face. "Only if you're making something already."

Clary rolled her eyes. "I don't need to eat, but you do." She started taking out stuff and soon had a pot of spaghetti sauce cooking on the stove, and noodles in boiling water.

Tammy tugged at his pants, growling playfully,

"Hey, I need those for pant things." Austyn said and nudged the dog with his foot. "I can do it, I've learned how to make food along the way." he told her.

"Too late," Clary replied. "Sit." She pointed to a chair. then she whistled gently and Tammy ran to her. She filled her food bowl and petted her softly. After that, she stood and finished cooking.

Austyn sighed and flopped down in a chair, sitting kind of sideways so he could watch her. "Are you ok?" he asked worriedly. He knew her well enough to know that she had been freaking the fuck out while he was gone.

Clary stopped stirring for a moment. "I'm fine," She replied, repeating the same thing she had told everyone that came by to visit her over the months. When she lost Ben and Austyn, she had just tried to isolate herself from everyone. The only thing she did most of the time was take care of Tammy.

"Clary." Austyn said and gave her a look. "Don't try to pull this shit on me. You're allowed to be sad, no one would think less of you if you freaked out every once and a while." he said. "It's a natural reaction when stuff happens. I know for a fact tha tyou are not fine."

Clary closed her eyes. "Not me," she replied. "I'm not fine, but I don't want to show it because I just can't. Its just taking longer to get use to being alone again." She slowly stirred the noodles, staring into the water. "I'll be fine," she repeated, more to herself than to him

Austyn stood up and pulled the spoon from her hand. "Clary. Stop. You're alowed to freak out and cry and do whatever it is that you want to do, I won't think less of you." he told her, getting more and more worried about her. "Please stop doing this, forcing yourself to just forget about it isn't going to help."

Clary shook her head. "It's not the first time, it certainly isn't the last time, someone will leave me. I'll deal with it, just like I always do. I'll just find someone else sooner or later." She just moved to drain the noodles, not looking at Austyn. "I'll be fine. Its what happens."

"Well it's freaking me out." Austyn said simply. "Please, stop doing this to yourself. I don't care if you cry. You are still the same person as before, I wouldn't think any less of you." he told her. "Don't do this to yourself. you're eventually just going to explode or something."

Clary shook her head. "I won't explode Austyn. This is just how I react to things. It's completely natural for me." She sighed as she plated the food. "I don't cry in front of people. In front of anyone. 20 some years and Ben only saw me cry once and it wasn't me, just my body." She handed him a plate. "Sit."

"Well you certianly won't be ok." Austyn said and gave her a look. "Please. I don't want you bottling this all up inside, you're freaking me out. It's not natural for someone to just forget stuff like this ever happened." he said, crosing his arms and just kind of watching her.

"I'm not a normal person," Clary replied plainly. "I certainly will be okay. I always am. I refuse to let myself be overcome with emotions, I won't let him do this to me. I'm not the type of girl to cry because of this. I am okay and will be just fine."

Austyn sighed and shook his head, just ignoring it. "It's not good for you. You shouldn't do this." he said. "Fine. Do whatever you want. If you finally see that this is going to make your brain explode, you can come find me." he muttered.

Clary closed her eyes. "Austyn," she said softly. "This is how I handle things. I can't deal with emotions, especially my own. Please just drop it, sit and eat."

I have no idea how to answer that.
