Ben stood there, leaning against the doorframe. "Care to explain why you were suddenly pissed at me?"

Clary just stared at him, her cold mask appearing. "Is there a reason I shouldn't be mad at you, asshole?" She said coolly. "I'm busy Ben. What do you want?"

"Oh I don't know. Maybe because we've been mates for over 20 years." Ben said with heavy sarcasm. "Is there a reason you SHOULD be mad at me? Cus I got nothin'."

Clary's eyes flashed. "Don't talk to me about being mates Ben. You threw that out when I caught you making-out with some girl in an alley," She growled. "Get out and leave me alone."

Ben looked honestly surprised. "Caught doing what now? You know I would never do that!" he said and gave her a look. "The only girl I've made out with for the past 20 frickin years is you."

Clary laughed darkly. "I know what I saw. I know what I felt," She hissed. She shoved the images into his head of seeing him kiss that boy, before slamming the door in his face.

Ben looked confused. "Clary. I didn't kiss anyone else. That was you. You popped out of nowhere, started making out with me, and then just smirked and went on with your shopping." he said and shook his head.

"No I didn't. You went off while I was shopping," Clary said in an icy tone. "My mark burned. I ran to see what happened. You were kissing another girl. Now leave. I'm busy and you're not welcome here." She turned and walked into the kitchen. Slowly she started taking out bacon and pancake mix.

Ben just followed her inside. "No I wasn't I was kissing you, I know it. Did you bump your head or something? You know I would never do that to you." he said and gave her a look, so totally confused.

"I didn't hit my head you idiot. You did apparently. You know why? Because I saw you Ben. Now leave me alone." Clary took down a pan down and set it on the burner, before starting to cook.

"I would never kiss anyone else. You are my mate and I would never cheat on you." Ben said honestly. "I don't know what happened, but I would never EVER kiss anyone else." he said and shook his head.

Austyn stumbled into the kitchen from the living room, the blanket trailing behind him. "Truth." he mumbled and flailed a blanket covered arm at Ben, sleepily saying that he wasn't lying.

Ben stared down at the moving blob of blankets. "... what the fuck is this?"

Clary glared at Ben before squatting down to Austyn. "What are you doing, honey?" She said softly. She looked at Ben, blankily. "After I punched a tree, he came up to me. And since he has no family, I'm taking him in. Don't cuss in front of him." She sighed softly and stood up went back to cooking.

..... Why is the time all jacked up?

Ben stared down at Austyn. "Ok... taking in random kids. Why not." he muttered. "Anyways. You should listen to him because HE IS ACTUALLY MAKING SENSE!" he said. "I'm not lying and this... special little thing you brought back seems to know what."

Austyn just curled up on the floor again, poking his head out of the blankets to look up at them.

It's not. What does it say for you? It says a little after 8:20 for me and that's what it is.

Clary ignored Ben, looking down at Austyn. "Why don't you go lay on the couch sweetie?" She looked at Ben. "I know what I saw Ben. I'm not blind and I'm not stupid." She finished the chocolate chip pancakes and started on the bacon.

It says 2:26 a.m. for me.

Austyn just stayed where he was, looking back and forth between them.

Ben made an annoyed noise. "Ok. What if I did kiss someone else? Do you really think I would do it of my own free will? You know me better than that! You know I would never be that much of a jackass to you. Other people? Oh definately. But not you."
